idris khan examples and analysis

analysis goes here
my attempt; heres my first attempt at an overlay piece inspired by idris khan although i used element he did id like to think my style isnt to closly related to his. I firstly chose to keep the colour i like the blending and and the blurs it gives of and leaves the viewer to seriously look at the piece to see whats going on. Although i feel it works i was limited with this to 3 photographs
which gives qwite diverse gaps within not alowing it to fully blut into on solid image.

first experiments

Here are my first 4 photographs, i used a variation of filters and threshholds to produce different tyes of outcomes. Although i like the outvomes i feel some of them are more graphical than photography so i choose to take the threshhold pieces further and leave the filteres for the time being.
Here is one of the examples i saw more photography, i realy like the picture and it has a structure that leads your eyes around it the strong lines give the piece direction and it has several different focal parts even though you view it as a whole the main things i focus on are the stands at the fron asweel as the rails and castle in the background and then the pole sign.
i realy like this photograph i think the blur works realy well and gives the impression that you are looking at her through something like a wall or a ghost? the fact she was unaware only makes it stronger almost saying there are things sometimes with us that we dont see. i chose to brighten the yellows to give a more heated warm feel to it and to bring out some of the blurs.

Heres my first proper atempt at thresholding i like the way it completly changes the feel of the picture now its qwite mysterious and the black signals darkness especialy in the boy nearer the top but when its on the gils jumper the details are exqwisit and inocent it realy shows a difference of the impressions it can give.
this was the main reason i thaught some pieces where more graphical. I really like the poster edge effect and although it makes the photo more intresting its not the most photographic tool and i dee it more graphical.

THR

here is my attempt at a collage. i chose to thresh hold each photograph individually so they would each have different characteristics. When composing this i was looking at lines the way your eyes are guided around the piece is vital especially in the backdrop when i look at it i always look from left to right and the idea was to not make it obviously london although i used the millennium bridge thats about as obvious it gets in terms of well known places in the piece.millennium
